Carlos is an engineer and university professor who suffered ectasia following LASIK surgery and had bilateral corneal transplants in 2008. He had been wearing scleral lenses from us since 2012. He recently returned for new and improved Laserfit lenses. He wears them all day and sees extremely well. We are always happy to see returning patients like Carlos!

Andre had LASIK in 2008. He developed dry eye and painful recurrent corneal erosions. He had to use special eye drops, wear protective eye wear, and his lifestyle was compromised. Kristian has severe keratoconus in one eye and mild keratoconus in the other. He is correctable to 20/100 in the worse eye and 20/25 in the better eye with eyeglasses. He was not getting good vision with his current RGP and mini-scleral lenses. He was also working towards his Ph.D. and struggling with the reading. Within a few days Kristian was corrected to 20/25- in his worse eye and 20/20- in his better eye. Moreover, the severe glare and double images were nearly completely gone.

Like many others, Mike had RK surgery in 1993 to "cure" his nearsightedness. Unfortunately it left him extremely farsighted with irregular astigmatism. His large pupils made night driving difficult and he gave up his first career as a result. Laserfit lenses with wavefront-guided optics were able to reduce his higher order aberrations and restore his night vision. Mike also got sharp 20/15 vision out of each eye.

Alex had LASIK in 2007. He then began to suffer symptoms of keratoconus, mainly in the right eye. He had crosslinking done in 2012 and 2014. He tried many types of contact lenses. More recently he was wearing a 16.5 mm mini-scleral for irregular corneas, but was still unhappy with the large amount of glare and ghosting in his vision. Within a few days Alex was fitted with Laserfit lenses with wavefront-guided optics. The result was 20/15 in each eye and all day wearing comfort. Better yet, all of the glare and ghosting were gone.

Luke had advanced keratoconus in both eyes, as well as phakic intra-ocular lenses to reduce his severe myopia. He was wearing a lens only in the right eye. His vision was restored to 20/15 in the right eye and 20/40 in the left, with good comfort in both.

Nick want to follow in the family tradition in law enforcement. He thought LASIK would help him, but afterwards felt that he had lost vision quality and experienced from night glare and starbursting. A digital marketing specialist, Rajiv had LASIK in 2012 for myopia and astigmatism. Several months later he had an enhancement. But with very large pupils, he suffered from severe low light and night vision disturbance. He had tried numerous lenses in the San Francisco area without satisfactory results, as none could eliminate his astigmatism and glare. Laserfit lenses with wavefront guided optics eliminated the induced astigmatism, and reduced his higher order aberrations by 83% in the right eye and 93% in the left eye. Chris underwent a new refractive procedure called SMILE, or small incision lenticule extraction for myopia. Designed to replace LASIK, the procedure uses a femtosecond laser to create a lens inside the cornea, which is then extracted manually through a small opening to create the desired effect. Chris has large pupils and found it difficult to drive or see at night immediately after the procedure. LASERFIT LENSES gave Chris his night vision back and he went back to China very happy.

Layne suffered a penetrating eye injury as a child that left a small scar in the center of his vision. In 2004 he underwent an astigmatic keratotomy in that eye to correct the astigmatism. Diagnosis:  Stevens Johnson Syndrome

Joseph is a Texas local and is lucky to be alive. About 8 or 9 years ago he came down with a rare case of TENS - or Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, a severe form of SJS or Stevens Johnson Syndrome. It is a reaction to a chemical or substance, usually sulfonamides, that causes sores on the skin and mucus membranes, then sloughing similar to third degree burns.

Joseph survived this often fatal condition, but with scarring of the conjunctiva and sores on and around the eyelids leaving him with severe dry eye. After undergoing reconstructive surgeries, he still suffered as a result of the scar tissue. One of the challenges was that the worst eye was unable to open widely enough for a large lens. We fit him with a normal size mini-scleral on his better eye first. After he got the hang of that, we scanned and fit his right eye with a smaller lens, which he was able to wear without any trouble. He now has his life back.

Kelley loves the outdoors. She walks pets for a living. One day she fell and suffered serious facial fractures which damaged her eyelid and left her with severe dry eye.
